What is a Health Coach?

Working in the mental health and wellbeing sector, I’ve seen first-hand how our health system often lets people down. Too often, the focus is on treating symptoms instead of addressing the root causes— and as a result, more and more people are living with chronic illness.

The real key to preventing and even reversing many of these challenges is lifestyle as medicine. That’s where Health Coaches step in.

Health Coaches represent a new wave of health professionals, filling the gap in our system by supporting people to make meaningful, lasting change. Instead of prescribing or treating, we guide individuals to take ownership of their health—equipping them with the tools, strategies, and confidence to build sustainable lifestyle shifts.
